Packing One Million Meals

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy aims to help high school students re-imagine leadership, in part by showing them that making a BIG impact is well within their reach. This year, students accepted a challenge that would demonstrate this idea right away.

As schools across the country kicked off the program, we asked them to think big with us — by packing ONE MILLION meals for families in need right in their own communities.

In partnership with the Chick-fil-A Foundation and Feeding Children Everywhere, students were able to apply servant leadership skills immediately by helping serve people in their communities.

At kickoff events throughout September, determined students rolled up their sleeves, pulled on hairnets, and got to work chipping away at their audacious goal.

And they did it! Together, Chick-fil-A Leader Academy students exceeded their goal, packing 1,001,280 meals. That is over 200 meals packed PER STUDENT.

Meal packing is a high-intensity and exciting event that is a contagious combination of energy and impact. Click here to watch a student’s Instagram video of meal packing, and prepare to be inspired by these fantastic students in action!
